About

My name is Yunie, well, that is my cosplay alias. I’ve been cosplaying for almost a decade now. I am not e-famous, nor do I wish to be. If people like my costumes, awesome, if not, oh well.

This blog was created as a change of pace. I’m sick of seeing other blogs where they don’t speak to the cosplayers, but put them on some crazy popularity pedestal. It’s about getting to know the community and having fun. Cosplayers are people too. We all look different, act different, but have the same hobby.

To see my own work and others in my group, my site is here: Engi no Shouzoku! Cosplay Site

  1. I’ve just found your blog and I loved the ideia. Because a I was tired of all the blogs and webpages of cosplay look the same that I created one to talk about something that’s not showcases. http://cosplaypost.blogspot.com/ that’s my page, but it is in portuguese XD . I’ll make a post about your blog and will become a regular reader. =]

I’m glad somebody else is out there with the same agenda! :D Your blog looks interesting, though unfortunately I don’t read portuguese, lol! I can pick some stuff out though, and the little videos showcased are cool. :D Can’t wait to see more!

I love your blog! Cosplay is definitely something I wish to get into more, and it’s great to find a blog with a real emphasis on cosplayers. You’re right about focusing more on the cosplay community – it really isn’t highlighted enough! And you’re title is awesome :) Cosplayers with brains are the best! You should check out my blog – http://aureliadiesel.wordpress.com/
I love conventions, and I have a few very close to me (Katsucon!) and so I plan to feature cosplay/cons at some point!

I’m excited to hear that my favorite photographer, OscarC, is going to start writing for your blog. I’m sure he has a lot of good insight to share! Also, for months now, I’ve really wanted to do cosplayer interviews, but have never found the time for it. I’m glad you’re taking on the endeavor. Keep up the good work. I like what you’re doing here!

Also, if you have a minute, please check out my blog. I’d love to do a link exchange if you’re interested. http://kricketcostumes.com/

    Hi there!

I just found this a bit ago, not sure if you’ve seen it yet or not. It just came out and I haven’t seen it anywhere yet! (hence me wanting to send it to you).. It’s a trailer for something called PES (peace eco smile). It looks AWESOME. I think it’s through the Toyota company, but never the less, looks pretty interesting.

Here’s the shortened youtube link for it: http://goo.gl/bjd0K

…I figured you’d like to see it and I know your readers like me would love to see it. Let me know what you think! I think the first episode is supposed to come out in a month… And then a new one every month or so. (from what I hear)

Keep up the good work. Love the site.

    Your reader,

    Ben Lee

    Hello! How are you?
I was wondering, how do you choose cosplayers for your interviews? I would like to refer a couple of cosplayers to you for an interview, if that is ok! They do great work and they deserve some recognition! :)
    Thanks!
