We’re switching things up a bit and doing some resources for shipping items, such as a large prop for conventions. For these examples, I’m going to use from my location, Denver, Colorado to San Jose, California, just so everyone can get a general price. And for the prop, we’ll pretend they’re a 5 lbs. pair of wings. They’ll be 12 inches in length and height, with a width of 5 inches. None of these have shipping insurance added in.
1. United States Postal Service – If I mailed it today, it would arrive between July 7 (Express Mail) and July 12 (Media Mail). Pricing would be anywhere between $42.05 to $4.05, with the more expensive price being the quickest shipping as well.
2. UPS – If mailed today, it would arrive between July 7 (UPS Next Day) and July 11 (UPS Ground). Pricing would be anywhere between $111.87 to $14.45, with the more expensive price being the quickest form of shipment.
3. FedEx – Again, if mailed today, the package would arrive between July 7 (FedEx First Overnight) and July 11/12 (FedEx Home Delivery). Pricing would be anywhere between $114.61 and $15.52, with the most expensive pricing being the quickest form of shipping again.
So there’s several different examples of shipping, with the basic pricing done online. Anytime you’re going to do shipping, definitely go into local stores and talk to representatives about what you’re shipping, when you need it, and the costs. Hope this helps!
