CutthroatCon 2011

This last Saturday, I was asked to do Artist Alley for a local one-day convention called CutthroatCon. It’s specifically a gamer convention, but they also included anime, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, and other genres into their convention. They had a ton of tournaments on a variety of platforms, an artist alley, vendors, and even a costume competition.

Now, surprisingly, there was a decent turnout for the convention, but the costume contest got cancelled and the artist alley had very little business. More advertising, potentially making it a two-day convention, and trying to condense things into a smaller area may help next time and all of that was suggested to staff. ๐Ÿ˜€ Other than things like that, the staff was amazing. They treated all of us working/helping out the con very well and were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The gaming areas were constantly busy with people, which was awesome. I definitely hope the con returns next year.

Maybe I’ll even cosplay to it, lol! ; P
